In a regular public library, readers come in to check out a paperback book. At the Human Library, actual people are on loan for a one-on-one, 20 minute conversation. The people acting as Human Books have been exposed to prejudice, bias or discrimination based on who they are or what they believe. We invite in all questions and our Books engage in sharing their personal experiences with the readers. We will release the titles of the 2024 Human Books on Saturday, but to give you an idea, last year our titles included Sexual Abuse Survivor, Transgender, Blind, Addiction, Refugee, Depression, etc.

Come check out a human book or two, and perhaps "unjudge someone." Pre-registration is not required but would be helpful so we have an idea of headcount.

WHEN: Saturday, October 5, drop in between 11am-2pm
