I Survived Book Club at Kimball Junction

We're excited to have a whole new batch of I Survived books for our 2024-25 I Survived Book Club! Our first meeting will be Thursday, September 12, 4:00 pm, in the Richins Auditorium. We'll be talking about I Survived the California Wildfires, 2018. There will definitely be some fire safety tips discussed at this first meeting. No open flame, however. (I like my job. I'd like to keep it.)

For readers who can't get enough of the I Survived book series, age 9 and older. Kids read the assigned book ahead of time then come ready for snacks, STEM activities and book discussion. Monthly Book Club Books are available at the checkout desk. Please ask a friendly librarian to find one for you. Advance registration is required. Once your child is signed up, they will be a member of the I Survived Book Club for the rest of the school year. We will meet the second Thursday of each month through April 2025. There will be no meeting in December, however. You will receive email reminders a few days before each meeting. Please let me know if your child has any food allergies or other sensitivities that I should be aware of. I'm looking forward to reading a lot more harrowing survival stories this school year!
