The Challenges to Democracy -- Autocracy and Authoritarianism Gaining Ground -- Why?

A recent Pew Research study shows a preference for a "strong leader who can make decisions without court or legislative interference" in eight major countries. What is Autocracy? What is Authoritarianism? Why are otherwise free people thinking that giving more power to one person or party is the best way to go? In which direction is the United States heading and why?

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! All participants must have an active Summit County Library card.  Library cards are free for Summit County residents/employees and $25/year for nonresidents. Class size is limited to 45 participants, first come first served.
